Terry Cox, Tony Iles and 2 others (non-GMC) went to the Oetztal. Terry and Tony dropped off at St. Anton. The other two went touring in the car and agreed to meet up in Munich at the main railway station 2 weeks later.
At the railway station a message came for TC to contact the British Consulate. He was told that the owner/driver of the car, Derek, had died of a heart attack while floating on a lilo, which tipped up on Lake Garda. The 4th member had returned to the UK from where he had alerted the British Consulate that Terry and Tony would be expecting to meet their friends in Munich.
